Cooking with Hell Steam
At Jigokumushi Kobo Kannawa, you get to try the famous 'hell-steamed' food. I ordered the meat and veggie set, and the best part is you can cook the food yourself over the thermal springs! It's a unique experience, and all the food comes out incredibly fresh. They provide salt and ponzu for dipping, making for a really good meal.

Relaxing Onsen with a View
Before leaving Beppu, I headed to Ebisu Onsen for a relaxing bath. The onsen offers a beautiful view of both the ocean and the mountains, which is incredibly soothing. After the bath, I grabbed a black sesame pudding from the cute cafe inside the onsen – it was so rich and delicious, also made with the steamers. It's the perfect way to unwind and feel warm and sleepy after a good soak.
