Ferry ride to Iriomote Island
From Ishigaki Island, we took a ferry to Iriomote Island. The ride takes about 50 minutes, and a round trip ticket costs around 5,000 yen per person. The journey itself is beautiful, offering stunning views of the clear blue ocean as you approach the wild, green island.

Kayaking through Iriomote's mangrove forest
We went kayaking through the vast mangrove forests of Iriomote, which make up two-thirds of Japan's mangroves. It's an incredible experience to paddle through the dense, green tunnels, feeling completely immersed in nature. The water is calm, and the scenery is breathtakingly green. It's a truly unique way to explore the island's wild side.

Swimming at Hoshizuna no Hama
After kayaking, we headed to Hoshizuna no Hama, or Star Sand Beach, for a swim. The water is incredibly clear and inviting, perfect for cooling off. It's also a great spot to look for the unique star-shaped sand, which makes for a fun souvenir. The beach is absolutely beautiful and a must-visit for anyone on Iriomote.
