It's a spacious and beautiful buffet-style restaurant with many delicious-looking dishes, most using ingredients sourced from Hokkaido. You'll find a selection of dishes served at your table, like bouillabaisse with lobster, alongside an all-you-can-eat buffet featuring seafood such as sashimi, crab, and huge fried shrimp. There are live kitchens where chefs make fresh sushi, tempura, and steak to order. Don't forget to explore the plentiful drinks and wide variety of cute and high-quality desserts. The salmon roe bowl was particularly unforgettable.

Even with a private bath in your room, make sure to visit the public bath on the 8th floor, aptly named 'An open-air bath floating in the sky'. The changing area is spacious and clean, with bath towels and lockers provided. After your bath, relax in the lounge with a water cooler and fruit ice pops, or cool down on the terrace where the wind feels great. Inside, you'll find shower rooms with a view, an indoor bath with a large window overlooking the lake, and a dry sauna with a view and TV. The onsen water is transparent, has no strong smell, and is known for skin beautifying effects, relieving neuralgia and muscle pain. The highlight is the open-air bath itself, designed to integrate with Lake Toya, making it feel like the onsen stretches out forever. It's divided into three levels: a 120cm deep standing bath that warms you to the core, a normal depth bath, and a shallow lying-down bath with a pillow. Imagine watching the fireworks from here at night!

Experience the Lake Toya Long Run Fireworks Display from the comfort of your room's terrace, wearing a yukata. The fireworks launch boat gradually comes right in front of the hotel, offering a spectacular view. This festival runs every day from April 28 to October 31 (weather permitting), with fireworks starting around 8:45 PM. The colorful fireworks reflecting on the lake create a fantastical and romantic scene. You can also see it for free from hotels around the lake and the lake promenade.

Return to the same buffet restaurant at Sun Palace Resort & Spa for breakfast. The menu is different from dinner, featuring delicious options like salmon roe, sausages, and clam chowder. The salmon roe bowl, in particular, was incredibly delicious. For sweets, you'll find mostly light items, and you might even get a Haagen-Dazs ice cream if you missed it the night before.

Take a taxi from the hotel to the crater of Mount Usu, which erupted in 2000. You'll need to pay an entrance fee of 1,000 yen per car to enter the private lands. Once there, you can climb up to see the mysterious swamp that shines in a brilliant emerald color, formed after the crater blew its top. You can also see preserved structures like a five-story building and kindergarten under volcanic ash, remnants of the eruption. The colors were even more vibrant right after the eruption, described as 'emerald green of Palmolive detergent'.
