Enjoying coffee shaved ice and creamy soft serve
After exploring the village, I stopped at this small cafe with a nice outdoor seating area. They also have a gallery selling ceramics and pottery. I ordered the coffee shaved ice and soft serve, which was incredibly creamy because this area is famous for its rich milk. It was the perfect break on a hot day.

Exploring the thatched roof at Miyama Folk Museum
I went to the Miyama Folk Museum to see inside one of the traditional thatched houses and learn more about them. You can get a close-up view of the roofs and even go up to the attic to see the inside of the thatched structure. It has a nice, relaxing atmosphere.

Savoring handmade green tea soba
I decided to try green tea soba for lunch. All the soba noodles are handmade in the store. The taste of green tea was surprisingly strong, and the noodles were chewy and delicious. At the end, they give you some soba water to add to your soup, which is a nice touch.
