Creator's voice- Golden Pavilion (Kinkaku) — The temple's main hall, known as the Kinkaku, is its most iconic feature. It successfully incorporates three distinct styles of architecture: the first floor is built in the Shinden style (Heian Period palace buildings), the second floor in the Bukke style (samurai residences) and covered in gold leaf, and the third floor, also covered in gold leaf, is built in the Chinese style and topped with a bronze phoenix ornament. The top two stories are covered in gold leaf, while the bottom story is made of white and black lacquered wood.
- Strolling garden and pond — The temple is set in a magnificent strolling garden overlooking a pond. The golden exterior of the pavilion reflects beautifully in the temple's pond, creating a stunning sight for visitors. The garden implements the idea of borrowed scenery, which creates an extension of the views surrounding the pavilion.
- Buddhist statues and artifacts — Inside the temple, visitors can see the temple's impressive collection of Buddhist statues and artifacts, as well as its intricate carvings and artwork.
