I Tried Japan's SPICIEST Ramen 🍜 6,000 Calories in a Day

Start your day at 7:00 AM with 'Asara' (morning ramen) at Restaurant Itou, a bustling spot popular with factory workers and locals. I tried the 'Jitto Jitto Ramen,' a pork fat ramen with a thick, rich broth that looks like snow, perfect for a cold, snowy morning. The curly noodles are excellent at absorbing the soy-sauce based broth, and the chashu meat is incredibly soft. It's a hearty, energetic meal to kick off your day.

Head to Akan Chodou for a more adventurous ramen experience. While I opted for a lighter Wasabi Ramen, my friend Natsuki took on the 'Red Hot Chili Pepper Ramen,' which looked like 'the Gates of Hell itself.' It's incredibly spicy, a level 10, and will definitely test your limits. Be prepared for a burning stomach and multiple trips to the toilet if you dare to try it!

For your third bowl, seek out Tonikumu, a quaint ramen shop hidden down an alleyway. I tried their Tori Soba, a lighter chicken broth ramen that's perfect after destroying your taste buds with spicy food. The broth is rich and photogenic, with beautifully braised, juicy pork. It's a cozy spot, especially in cold, snowy weather, and was my favorite ramen of the day.
