- Akita dogs (Kanta and Fujiko) — Meet Kanta, a four-year-old male, and Fujiko, a three-year-old female, the resident Akita dogs at Enishi Guesthouse. These beautiful dogs are calm and used to people, offering a unique opportunity to interact with this rare Japanese breed. Akita dogs were historically bear hunting dogs, but their population is decreasing, with only about 3,000 left in Japan due to the difficulty of keeping large dogs in modern Japan.
