Creator's voice- 1925 Tencha Drying Furnace — This furnace, built in 1925, is the oldest tencha dryer still in use, celebrating its 100th year in 2026. Despite the challenges of maintenance due to its age, Mr. Yamamoto believes only this furnace can create the unique taste of his tea, and he intends to keep using it as long as possible.

Creator's voice- Tencha — The tea leaves before they are ground into matcha. For green tea, there is sencha, gyokuro, and tencha. Grinding tencha into powder makes matcha. Mr. Yamamoto grows his tencha to increase umami and reduce bitterness, aiming for a very sweet and rich taste.
- Electric Stone Mill — This electric stone mill is used to grind tencha into matcha. It grinds very slowly, only about 40 grams per hour, but the friction heat enriches the aroma. The finely ground matcha becomes incredibly smooth, without any roughness, with particles around 5 to 15 microns in size.
- Ceremonial Matcha — The finest matcha, made from tencha grown using the Honzu shade method and stone-ground. It has a surprising sweetness and a rich umami flavor, completely different from what many expect from matcha. It's prepared by whisking, resulting in a smooth, non-bitter cup.
