We stumbled upon Ito Kaiyoutei and it was an absolute hit! The sashimi was incredibly fresh, with a rich umami that lingered. The abalone was alive and so tender, and the grilled fish was perfectly cooked. This was easily the best meal of our trip so far, a true 'level god' experience. Take the lift up Oomuroyama for breathtaking views. The lift itself is a bit shaky, but the ride is refreshing. Once at the top, the panoramic scenery is stunning, making the trip absolutely worth it. We didn't walk around the crater rim, but just seeing the view from the top was fantastic.

This place is pure madness, like a 'museum of the absurd.' It's filled with bizarre, often creepy, exhibits ranging from strange statues and retro displays to a 'Momotaro's Reconciliation Shrine.' It's so overwhelming and unsettling that it makes you want to turn back. My friend's child cried when they visited. It's a truly unique and unforgettable experience that you have to see to believe, but be prepared for the unexpected and the slightly disturbing. The second area, the Showa Zone, is also full of strange, unsettling figures.

After a long day, the footbath right in front of Atami Station is a perfect way to relax. The water is so clear it almost feels like there's nothing in it, providing a natural and refreshing experience. It's a great spot to unwind before heading home.
