I managed to eat 81 bowls, far exceeding the average of 30-40 for girls. It's a fun challenge and a great way to warm up, especially with snow on the roof outside.

Explore Miroku Yokocho, a local drinking alley in Hachinohe. Even if you're not hungry after a big meal, it's a fantastic place to meet friendly locals and make memorable connections. The atmosphere is lively and welcoming.

Visit the Taro Kanko Hotel, a preserved building that serves as a memorial to the Great East Japan Earthquake and tsunami. A guide explained what happened on the day of the tsunami, making the experience incredibly impactful and educational. It's a powerful way to understand the region's history and resilience.

If you're lucky enough to be in Taro during a local festival, definitely check it out and participate in the events. I tried catching fish, which was my first time, and it was a lot of fun, even if I had no idea what I was doing! It's a great way to engage with the community.

Iwate is renowned for its seafood, and one of the best ways to experience it is through sashimi or sushi. At Shimura Sushi, I tried the tuna, which was incredibly fresh and literally melted in my mouth. It's a must-try for seafood lovers.
