Pimp Your Car with 100-Yen Gadgets
Joey and I were challenged to spend ¥1,000 each at a 100-yen store to create the 'ultimate car gadget.' I went for a 'security' concept, using a woolly hat, a hand, and a decapitated head drawing to create a deterrent for burglars. Joey went for 'class, comfort, and kawaii' with a back supporter, a cat pillow with Kirby stickers, and a panda mascot holder. It's a fun challenge to see what creative solutions you can come up with on a budget.

Ascending Mount Omuro by Chairlift
To reach the summit of Mount Omuro, you take a chairlift. It's an easy ascent, so you don't have to do any climbing. From the top, you get incredible, perfect views of the Izu Peninsula and, if you're lucky, Mount Fuji. I have a phobia of chairlifts after a skiing incident in France, but the views from the top are worth it.

One of Japan's smallest volcanoes, towering 580 meters over the city of Ito on the Izu Peninsula. It has a perfect conical shape, resembling a miniature Mount Fuji, and is thankfully extinct. The summit offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountainous region and, on clear days, Mount Fuji.
