At the ceramics shop in front of Jindaiji Temple, you can choose from various ceramic items like bowls or wind chimes and paint your own design. They provide a book for design inspiration. It's a fun activity, and your piece is ready to take home in just 20 minutes after being fired in the kiln. If you tell them you're traveling, they'll wrap it twice for safe transport. I made a matcha bowl for myself!
