here's how i spent 24 hours in kyoto! so excited to come back this march #japan #kyoto

I left my hotel extra early this morning to beat the crowds visiting the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest. It's worth getting there before the rush to experience the serene atmosphere.

Right next door to the bamboo forest, I had to enjoy a Kyoto latte from % Arabica Coffee. It's the perfect spot to relax by the river after an early morning walk.

After taking the train back to Shijo Station, I enjoyed some Japanese-style soufflé pancakes right off the Kamo River at Panel Cafe. They have both chocolate and matcha flavors, and it's a great spot to relax and enjoy the view.

There's also tons of shopping in this area, so I hit a couple of second-hand stores where I picked up this Carhartt cardigan for about 100 USD. You can find some great unique pieces if you take the time to look.

I grabbed my first matcha of the day at the Le Labo Cafe. I even made a friend with the store manager, Miu, who recognized me from my content. If you ever see me out and about, feel free to come say hi!

Another crazy coincidence happened: I bumped into a friend from high school that I hadn't seen in 10 years! We caught up over a bowl of ramen, over 10,000 kilometers away from where we grew up. It was an unexpected and amazing reunion.

After saying our goodbyes, I had to grab a sweet treat from 7-Eleven before heading back to the hotel and editing this vlog.
