Get on the Uzushio Kisen boat to go right up close to the whirlpools. It's incredibly powerful and feels like a living creature, with foam everywhere and the boat swaying with the current. You'll pass right under the Onaruto Bridge and see the massive whirlpools forming one after another, some so huge they feel like they could swallow you. It's an amazing, immersive experience, especially when the whirlpools are at their peak during spring tide.

After the boat, drive to Parking Lot 1 and head to Uzunomichi. You can use a common ticket if you bought one with Uzushio Kisen. This facility lets you walk quite a bit further out over the water, with glass floors where you can look down and see the whirlpools swirling below. It's a different perspective from the boat, offering a beautiful view from above, and you can also see the space reserved for the Shikoku Shinkansen.

At Escahill Naruto, ride the incredibly long escalator, which is the second longest in Japan, up to the rooftop observation deck. The angle is steep, and the ride itself is an experience. From the top, you get amazing panoramic views of the surrounding area, including where you boarded the boat earlier. It's a calm and beautiful perspective of the Naruto Strait.

After taking in the views from Escahill Naruto's observation deck, head to the souvenir shop. You can find local specialties like Naruto Kintoki sweet potato products, which are very famous and delicious. Don't miss the Tokushima Kintoki Sweet Potato Soft Serve at the cafe, or try a baked Naruto Kintoki sweet potato. There's also Bon Curry, a national dish born in Tokushima, available for purchase.
