Praying for good fortune at Tenmangu Shrine
I'm at the Tenmangu Shrine, dedicated to the God of study. You'll see students coming here to pray for good fortune in their exams, which is quite nice compared to the UK where we just down a Redbull and hope for the best. It's a beautiful, glamorous shrine.

Crossing the Kintai Bridge
When you first see the Kintai Bridge, you can't help but think someone got carried away with their credit card – it looks genuinely ridiculous and not the most practical. But its unique, top-heavy design was built to combat the strong currents of the Nishiki River, which used to wash away previous bridges. It's been here for 350 years, rebuilt after a typhoon in 1950. It's a beautiful, elaborate structure.

Walking the Kanmon Strait Pedestrian Tunnel
For just 20 yen, you can pass underneath the Kanmon Strait using this 800-meter pedestrian tunnel. It's a long walk, especially if you're carrying bikes, and it feels never-ending. Ellen was nervous about tunnels, so it wasn't her favorite, but it's a unique way to cross from Honshu to Kyushu on foot. We were going at a slower pace than most people, given that we had to carry the bikes too. It's very long, you can't see the beginning or the end.
