A unique zoo just outside Tokyo where you can watch capybaras relax in their own hot spring. It's an easy day trip from Tokyo by taking the Odoriko or Shinkansen to Ito or Izu-Kogen, then a short bus ride to the zoo. Be sure to check their official capybara bath schedule before you go, as the baths usually run from late November to early April, typically around 10:30–11:30 AM and 1:30–2:30 PM (times can vary).
