Discover Kanai Ryokan, an inn offering incredible value with meals and 24-hour onsen access, despite its unique charm of keyless rooms and a slightly rustic feel.

1Kanai Ryokan- 1-night stay with 2 meals · ¥7,500 — A 1-night stay with 2 meals is an astonishing ¥7,500. If you stay with two people, it's ¥6,500 per person. For consecutive nights, the price drops even further: ¥6,000 from the second night, ¥5,500 from the third, and ¥5,000 from the fourth night onwards. Plus, from the third night, it even changes to include 3 meals!
- Soba noodles — I'm actually more of an Udon person, but the soba here is really good. It's served as part of the meal plan.
- Isshobera (local cuisine) — This is Isshobera, a local specialty dish. It was incredibly delicious!
- 24-hour onsen access — The onsen is available 24 hours a day, and there are two additional onsen baths to explore besides the main one.
- Heike Monaka — I bought some monaka from a wagashi shop near the ryokan, thinking they'd be a nice evening snack. To my surprise, the room already had the exact same monaka as a welcome treat!
- Ogura Yokan — I also picked up some Ogura Yokan from the wagashi shop near the ryokan.
- Kuri Yokan — I bought some Kuri Yokan from the wagashi shop near the ryokan.
- Kuriwakata — I bought some Kuriwakata from the wagashi shop near the ryokan.
- Keyless room — The rooms here don't have keys, which is a unique feature. While there are some minor drawbacks like this, considering the price, it's not an issue at all.
- Paid safe — The safe in the room is available for a fee. While there are some minor drawbacks like this, considering the price, it's not an issue at all.
