Catching Nagashi Somen Noodles
You absolutely have to try catching nagashi somen noodles as they literally flow down a bamboo chute using spring water from the gorge. It's much harder than it looks, but so much fun! The noodles are incredibly fresh and silky; just dip them in the broth and eat. I've always wanted to try this, and I was so excited to randomly find this spot.

A unique restaurant right around the corner from Takachiho Gorge, famous for its nagashi somen where noodles flow down bamboo chutes using spring water from the gorge. Grilled fish — A whole grilled fish, served with a lemon wedge and other small side dishes. It was just as good as the noodles.
Tendon Udon — Udon noodles served with tendon (tempura) in a savory broth. This dish was also just as good as the nagashi somen.
Miso Dango — Sweet and savory miso dango on a skewer, perfect for finishing the meal.
Matcha Cremia soft serve — A matcha-flavored Cremia soft serve ice cream, enjoyed just outside the restaurant.
